We're not looking for a figurehead CTO. We want someone who writes the code that runs the Milan beta, designs the architecture for national scale, and builds the technical team around it. Reports directly to the founder.

What you'll do
  • Define the platform architecture, from cadastral ingestion to the analysis UI
  • Hire and train the first 3–5 engineers over the next 18 months
  • Keep the beta's shipping pace while scaling to 8 cities
  • Decide the make-vs-buy trade-off on every critical component
What we're looking for
  • 7+ years of software engineering on production products
  • Hands-on experience with geospatial data, ETL or data-intensive systems
  • Already led a technical team or been the founding engineer of a startup
  • A stack close to ours: Python, Node/TypeScript, relational databases, cloud

You'll work on the product clients use every day: the 3D map, the analysis terminal, the property search engine. Real full-stack — Next.js 16 on the frontend, Python on the backend, MySQL as the source of truth.

What you'll do
  • Build features end-to-end, from the SQL query to the final interface
  • Integrate Google Maps Platform 3D and cadastral sources into the product
  • Improve performance on geospatial queries and datasets of millions of parcels

Land registry, PGT, OMI, market data: the platform's value depends on how we integrate and normalise these sources. You'll build the pipelines that make the Italian digital twin possible.

What you'll do
  • Ingestion pipelines for cadastral (Sister), urban-planning (PGT) and market data (OMI, 3rd-party providers)
  • Data modelling on MySQL / columnar warehouse, quality and lineage
  • Geospatial normalisation at national scale — 131K parcels in Milan, 8 cities by year-end
  • Refresh automation, pipeline monitoring, handling dataset drift
What we're looking for
  • 4+ years in production data engineering
  • Python, advanced SQL, PostGIS or equivalents
  • Experience with Italian geospatial or public data is a strong plus
  • Owner mindset: the pipeline you break is yours
